i think my all time favorite actor

i’ve been steaming irrevocably towards 45 and starting to think about ultimates. favorite movies, albums, things that are less likely to change with time. there is nothing that nicholas cage can do with the rest of his career that will not make me love valley girl, vampire’s kiss (which i used to like give to people the way some people gave out R.E.M. albums, evangelically), wild at heart, honeymoon in vegas, leaving las vegas and the gonzo werner herzog version of the already gonzo bad lieutenant. i don’t care about the hair or the franchises. i just think he’s the top. maybe there will be more all time favorite posts here in the next two weeks. then i go check into a home.
